UAE E-Invoicing Integration

Connect ERPNext (self-hosted or Frappe Cloud) to UAE Peppol PINT-AE e-invoicing via the Frappe REST API or CSV export. InvoiceUAE generates FTA-compliant PINT-AE XML and submits directly to your UAE ASP.

Self-hosted and Frappe Cloud supported

Quick Answer

Can ERPNext connect to UAE e-invoicing?

Yes — InvoiceUAE is a dedicated ERPNext UAE e-invoicing solution. ERPNext does not natively generate UAE Peppol PINT-AE XML or submit to UAE FTA-approved ASPs. InvoiceUAE connects to ERPNext (self-hosted or Frappe Cloud) via the Frappe REST API (API key/secret), or via CSV export. It pulls Sales Invoices, return invoices (credit notes), and Customer records from ERPNext, generates PINT-AE XML, and submits to your UAE ASP. See our full ERPNext UAE e-invoicing guide for the compliance deadlines and setup walkthrough.

Native Support

Does ERPNext support UAE Peppol e-invoicing natively?

No. ERPNext's United Arab Emirates regional module already handles VAT well — a Tax ID field for TRN on Customer, Supplier, and Company records, default VAT tax templates, a VAT Emirate field on Sales Invoice, and a VAT 201 return report — but UAE Peppol PINT-AE e-invoicing is not part of this localization. ERPNext does not generate the SBDH + UBL 2.1 XML required by UAE FTA-approved ASPs and has no built-in ASP submission pathway.

InvoiceUAE bridges this gap. By connecting to ERPNext via its well-documented Frappe REST API, InvoiceUAE reads your submitted Sales Invoices and Customer data, generates UAE-compliant PINT-AE XML, and handles all ASP submission — with no changes to your existing ERPNext setup.

How It Works

How ERPNext Connects to UAE Peppol via InvoiceUAE

1

Register at InvoiceUAE and Select ERPNext

Create your free InvoiceUAE account and select ERPNext as your accounting software. Choose your connection method: the Frappe REST API for automated sync, or CSV export for manual batch processing.

2

Generate a Frappe API Key and Secret

In ERPNext, go to your User record > API Access > Generate Keys to create an API Key and API Secret (self-hosted or Frappe Cloud — the process is identical). Provide your ERPNext site URL plus the API key and secret to InvoiceUAE. No ERPNext password is stored by InvoiceUAE.

3

InvoiceUAE Connects and Pulls Submitted Invoices, Returns, and Customers

InvoiceUAE authenticates against the Frappe REST API and retrieves all submitted Sales Invoices (docstatus=1), return invoices (is_return=1, ERPNext's credit note equivalent), and Customer records. Draft invoices are skipped — only submitted documents are processed.

4

Map ERPNext Customers to UAE Compliance Fields

Enrich each ERPNext customer in the InvoiceUAE dashboard: confirm the 15-digit UAE TRN (read directly from ERPNext's native Tax ID field), select the Emirate code (Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, etc.), and choose Supply Type (Goods or Services). One-time setup per customer — stored permanently and applied to all future invoices.

5

AI Validates Each Invoice Before Submission

InvoiceUAE's AI validator checks every invoice before it reaches your ASP: TRN format (15-digit numeric), VAT amount calculations, missing mandatory PINT-AE fields, and line-level tax categories. Errors are highlighted with clear correction guidance — preventing ASP rejections before they happen.

6

Generate Peppol PINT-AE XML and Submit to Your UAE ASP

InvoiceUAE generates the full SBDH + UBL 2.1 PINT-AE XML from your ERPNext Sales Invoice data and submits to your UAE FTA-approved ASP with one click. Real-time acceptance/rejection status, email and WhatsApp alerts, and a full audit trail are available in the InvoiceUAE dashboard.

FAQ

ERPNext UAE E-Invoicing — Frequently Asked Questions

Is there a dedicated ERPNext UAE e-invoicing solution?+
Yes. InvoiceUAE is a dedicated ERPNext UAE e-invoicing solution — it connects to ERPNext (self-hosted or Frappe Cloud) via the Frappe REST API or CSV export, generates FTA-compliant Peppol PINT-AE XML from your ERPNext Sales Invoice data, and submits it to your chosen ASP, with no changes to your existing ERPNext setup. See our full ERPNext UAE e-invoicing guide for the complete compliance picture.
Can ERPNext connect to UAE Peppol e-invoicing?+
ERPNext does not natively generate UAE Peppol PINT-AE XML or submit to UAE FTA-approved ASPs. InvoiceUAE connects to ERPNext (self-hosted or Frappe Cloud) via the Frappe REST API (API key/secret authentication), or via CSV export. It pulls Sales Invoices, return invoices (credit notes), and Customer records from ERPNext, generates PINT-AE XML, and submits to your UAE ASP.
Does InvoiceUAE work with both self-hosted ERPNext and Frappe Cloud?+
Yes. InvoiceUAE works with self-hosted ERPNext (any version 13 and above) and Frappe Cloud, the official managed hosting for ERPNext. For self-hosted ERPNext, the Frappe REST API is enabled by default as long as your server is reachable. For Frappe Cloud, API access is enabled the same way, through API keys generated per user.
Which ERPNext versions does InvoiceUAE support?+
InvoiceUAE supports ERPNext version 13, 14, and 15 (the current Frappe Framework-based releases). The Frappe REST API and its API key/secret authentication model have been stable across these versions. For CSV-based onboarding, any ERPNext version that can export a Sales Invoice list works.
Can I use ERPNext CSV export instead of the API?+
Yes. In ERPNext, go to Accounting > Sales Invoice, filter the list, and use the Export option to download a CSV. Upload this CSV to InvoiceUAE, map the columns to UAE PINT-AE fields once (the mapping is saved permanently), and InvoiceUAE handles XML generation and ASP submission. The CSV method is suitable when API access isn't available or you prefer to process invoices in manual batches.
Does ERPNext have native UAE VAT and TRN support?+
Yes. ERPNext has a native United Arab Emirates regional module with a Tax ID field (used for TRN) on Customer, Supplier, and Company records, default VAT tax templates (standard-rated 5%, zero-rated, exempt), a VAT Emirate field on Sales Invoice for place-of-supply reporting, and a VAT 201 return report. This is a real strength — InvoiceUAE reads these fields directly rather than asking you to re-enter them.
How are UAE PINT-AE compliance fields added for ERPNext customers?+
After InvoiceUAE syncs your ERPNext Customer records, you enrich each customer once in the InvoiceUAE dashboard: confirm the 15-digit UAE TRN (read directly from ERPNext's native Tax ID field), select the Emirate code, and choose Supply Type (Goods or Services). These values are stored permanently and applied automatically to all future invoices from that ERPNext customer — no re-entry required per invoice.
What does InvoiceUAE generate from my ERPNext data?+
InvoiceUAE generates: (1) Peppol PINT-AE XML (SBDH + UBL 2.1) for ASP submission from ERPNext Sales Invoice data, (2) JSON for API or ERP integrations, (3) CSV invoice report for reconciliation and auditing, (4) Excel VAT summary with Box 1–4 return data for the UAE FTA portal, (5) PDF invoices for buyers with TRN and QR code, and (6) a full audit trail of all submissions and outcomes.
